Let's Go on a Ma-sil - Haneul Park Tour

Only a few decades ago, the World-cup Park site was a landfill for the municipal wastes of the city of Seoul.

Now, however, the World-cup Park has become famous for its eco-friendliness. The World-cup Park was constructed on the Nanji landfill area to rehabilitate its environment and also celebrate the 17th Korea-Japan World-cup Games in 2002. Major five parks in here are Sang-am World-cup Park, Pyeong-hwa(meaning peace), Nan-ji-cheon(meaning Nanji stream), Nan-ji-han-gang(Nanji Han River), and No-eul Park also known as Haneul (meaning sky) Park.

Especially the World-cup('Haneul') and 'No-eul' Park, two hills are frequented by many local Seoul citizens, families and couples, who are walking up the hill and enjoying a great sightseeing.

On the top of the hill, you will encounter with millions of beautiful flame grasses especially in the fall season. There is an annual flame grass festival during October. Plus, you can have a 360-degree view of the Seoul city; Mt. Buk-han to the north, Mt. Nam(Mt. South) and '63 building' to the east, the Han River to the south, the Haeng-joo Wall to the west. So, there are so many reasons Seoulites are willing to visit this park during weekends and holidays with their families. Why don't you join us? Let's go!
