* The title of this tour is a 'Modern alley, where souls of old artists remain'.
Through this tour, you will enjoy the peaceful walking trail of Inwang Mountain with beautiful scenery,
and also the uniqueness of the Korean Seochon-village.
Following is the explanation about the tour course in detail.
First, we will visit literature museum of 'Yoon Dong Ju', who is one of the most famous
poets in Korea.
The reason why he is so great is that he
wrote beautiful poems during Japanese colonial era. When Korea was under the
rule of Japan, Koreans were not allowed to use any Korean but only Japanese.
But ‘Yoon Dong Ju’ wrote poems in Korean. Even if you cannot deeply understand this poet, I'm sure that the uniqueness of this museum will charm you.
Next, you will walk along Inwang mountain walking trail about 30
minutes, watching beautiful scenery of
Seoul from the viewpoint.
Those
who love to take photos of beautiful scenery will definitely love this tour!
After that, you will stroll down all the way to ‘Seochon’.
‘서(Seo)’ means
west, and ‘촌(chon)’ means village. So, 서촌 means west village of ‘Gyeongbokgung Palace’.
During Joseon Dynasty, minor officials of ‘Gyeongbokgung
Palace’ lived here.
Thus, you will see a lot of small, humble
traditional houses that are not fancy.
Nowadays, there are many unique shops and
beautiful galleries in ‘Seochon’, so you’ll be able to see combination of an Antique and Modern.
